    Coronavirus: 289 new cases announced today in Bahrain

    The Ministry of Health announced the registration of 289 new existing cases, of which 212 are migrant workers, 63 cases of contacts, and 14 cases coming from abroad.

    The 212 cases of migrant workers were monitored after conducting 5,334 laboratory tests during the last 24 hours, including examinations within the pre-emptive campaigns of migrant workers in their homes in a number of areas.

    Bahrain announced 31 new recoveries.

    Bahrain tested a total of 105365 until now. There are 1385 active cases. These include 1384 stable cases and 1 critical case. 1113 people have been discharged. Only 8 deaths have been reported until now. This takes the total cases in Bahrain to 2506.

    Bahrain has announced yesterday the death of a 36-year-old expatriate male, a registered active case of Coronavirus (COVID-19) suffering from underlying and chronic health problems.

    The deceased male had been placed in isolation and received extensive 24-hour treatment from a specialised medical team.
