The helicopter crash near a Methodist church in the US state of Pennsylvania on January 11 is called a miracle, since none of the four people on board were injured, according to digital channel 6ABC Action News.
The accident occurred at about 13:00 (21 GMT) on January 11 near Bloomfield Avenue. A helicopter crashed near United Methodist Church in Drexel Hill, Delaware, carrying three crew members and one infant patient. Sources said the helicopter was carrying the child from Maryland to the Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia.
After the helicopter crashed, three crew members were taken to Lankenau Medical Center, and the baby was taken to the Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia. Doctors said no one received life-threatening injuries.
“This is a miracle. It is an absolute miracle, ”said Upper Darby Senior Police Officer Timothy M. Bernhardt.
One person living nearby said he saw the helicopter trying to land before jumping up and falling onto its side.
The cause of the accident is being established.
Earlier, on January 9, in Los Angeles, police rescued a pilot from a crashed light-engine plane a few seconds before the plane crashed into a train track. According to law enforcement officers, the aircraft’s engines lost traction, which caused the aircraft to descend and subsequently land on a hard landing.
