Pakistan : Protests erupted across Pakistan on Tuesday, hours after the country’s former prime minister Imran Khan was arrested by the country’s anti-corruption agency. New York : A New York jury on Tuesday found former US president Donald Trump liable for sexual assault against writer E Jean Carroll in an incident that occurred in the 1990s. The jury did not find Mr Trump liable for rape. Jurors also found that Mr Trump had defamed Ms Carroll in a Truth Social post, in which he called her claims a “con job”. Washington : Novavax is cutting about a quarter of its global workforce as the COVID-19 vaccine maker seeks to slash expenses while dealing with uncertain future revenue. The company said Tuesday that it expects to trim next year’s costs for research and development as well as selling, general and administrative expenses by about 40% to 50% compared to 2022.
