Tokyo : Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce met with officials of Topy Industries Ltd. The minister noted the strong ties between Bahrain and Japan, and highlighted the role played by active diplomacy in consolidating cooperation and pushing it towards developing existing economic relations. Manama : The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) conducted two joint inspection campaigns in the Northern Governorate and the Southern Governorate on a number of shops and work sites. The campaigns resulted in reporting violations related to the Labour Market and Residency laws. The cases were referred for legal action. Manama : 13,000 students across Bahrain’s 41 secondary school took the second mock International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam, aimed at determining their level in English. New York : Bahrain and Nauru signed a joint statement on establishing diplomatic relations based on the mutual desire to develop peaceful and cooperative relations, according to the principles of the Charter of the United Nations (UN) and the provisions of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961.
