KYIV : Russia launched its second large salvo of missiles at Ukraine in recent days early Monday, damaging buildings and wounding at least 34 people in the eastern city of Pavlohrad but failing to hit Kyiv, officials said. Air raid sirens began blaring across the capital at about 3:45 a.m., followed by the sounds of explosions as missiles were intercepted by Ukrainian defense systems. Manama : A total of 92 Bahraini citizens and residents of other nationalities have been evacuated safely from Sudan, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The move is in implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Mexico : At least 18 people were killed and 33 injured when a bus fell off a cliff in western Mexico, local authorities said Sunday. The prosecutor’s office in Nayarit, the state where the accident occurred, said the vehicle fell some 15 meters (49.21 ft) down a ravine on Saturday night, on a highway that connects state capital Tepic and the tourist destination of Puerto Vallarta. Authorities reported that 11 women and seven men were killed. At least 11 minors have been transferred to hospitals for medical attention.
London : The British public’s expectations for inflation over the coming year, and five to 10 years, eased in April, U.S. bank Citi said on Monday as it published a monthly survey conducted by market research company YouGov.
