Japan has lifted a state of emergency imposed due to the coronavirus in 39 out of 47 prefectures, after a sharp fall in new infections. The order still applies in Tokyo, Osaka and on the northern island of Hokkaido, where new cases are emerging daily. Bahrain MOH announced the death of a 44-year-old male expatriate, taking the country’s total deaths to 14. The Ministry of Health expresses its heartfelt condolences to the individual’s family at this difficult time. Hackers have launched a wave of cyber-attacks trying to exploit British people working from home, as the coronavirus lockdown forces people to use often unfamiliar computer systems. The proportion of attacks targeting home workers increased from 12% of malicious email traffic before the UK’s lockdown began in March to more than 60% six weeks later, according to data from cybersecurity company Darktrace provided to the Guardian. Bahrain has reported 45 new COVID-19 cases, of which 43 are among expatriate workers and 2 were the contact of active cases, this takes today’s total cases to 336.
