The Oman Ministry of Health reports 148 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 3,721. 33 of the new cases are Omanis, while the other 115 are Non-Omanis. The death toll stands at 17, as no new deaths were reported today. 39 new recoveries from COVID-19 were reported, taking the number of recoveries to 1250.
The Chief Executive of Labour Fund ‘Tamkeen’ Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi today announced that more than 10,000 small and micro enterprises have been supported through the Business Continuity Support Program so far. All mosques in Iran will reopen on Tuesday, a further step in the government’s plans to ease restrictions which aimed to contain the spread of the new coronavirus, the official IRIB news agency reported. The number of the coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the GCC exceeds 100,000 on Monday, according to the latest official tallies. 563 deaths were reported from the six countries. Saudi Arabia, GCC’s most populous country, tops the list with a total of 41,014 cases resulting in the death of 255 COVID-19 patients. Then comes Qatar with 32,623 infections and 20 deaths. A fire broke out in the Dubai Expo 2020 site on Monday. The Emirati officials said no one was injured from the fire. Dubai Civil Defence quickly responded and firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control. The Oman Ministry of Health recorded 174 new confirmed cases of coronavirus on Monday, bringing the total number of cases in the Sultanate to 3,573.
