122 Indian citizens were given Air India flight tickets to travel back to Kochi from Bahrain on May 8, Friday as part of the repatriation programme. A total of 177 passengers can travel through this flight. Others selected by the Indian Embassy in Bahrain can receive their flight tickets from tomorrow (May 7) at 10 AM. Bahrain’s active cases rise to 2,066 for the first time. The Bahrain Ministry of Health has registered 92 new active COVID-19 cases, taking today’s toll to 214 cases. 69 of the new cases are expatriate workers and 23 are contacts of active cases. The 92 new cases were found after 1,976 COVID-19 testings. Bahrain tested a total of 160,341 until now. There are 2,066 active cases. A lobbying group representing U.S. airlines on Wednesday said federally mandated minimum service requirements are “unsustainable” for carriers as the Covid-19 pandemic sends passenger numbers to the lowest levels since the 1950s. Flight service will start operating from the United States of America to Saudi Arabia on a daily basis during this week.
