A rare train derailment disrupted services in Hong Kong on Tuesday, the rail operator said, threatening commuter chaos during rush hour. The disruption to a usually seamless network used by nearly 6 million people every weekday happened after a train derailed while leaving a station in the Kowloon area, rail operator MTR Corp said. The government’s information department said eight people were injured and five had been taken to hospital. Days after his Special Protection Group (SPG) cover was withdrawn, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday got protective cover from CRPF commandos in the downgraded Z+ category. Pakistan plans to send its first astronaut to space by 2022 with the help of its close ally China, Minister for Science and Technology has said. The selection process for the astronaut would start in 2020, Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said on Sunday. U.S. stocks fell and haven assets like gold and the Japanese yen gained after a weekend attack on Saudi Arabian oil facilities sent crude prices surging. The Dow Jones Industrial Average shed 86 points or 0.3%. The S&P 500 lost 0.4% and the Nasdaq Composite shed 0.6%.
