Former India cricketer Ravi Shastri has been appointed as the head coach of the Indian Men’s senior cricket team for a second successive term. The three-member Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) headed by Kapil Dev interviewed the shortlisted candidates and made the announcement in a media briefing in Mumbai. Shastri has been re-appointed for a 2-year term, which will stretch till the 2021 ICC World T20, scheduled to be played in India. The Indian Army on Thursday called “fictitious” the Pakistan military’s claim of killing five Indian soldiers during a cross-border firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.  The response by the Indian Army came after Pakistan military’s spokesperson major general Asif Ghafoor claimed that three of its soldiers and five Indian personnel were killed in the cross-border firing.
