The latest project by the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunication (MTT) to air-condition public bus stops will also include a feature known as Passenger Information System (PIS) to make their travels more convenient. Of the 580 public bus stops in Bahrain, 17 have undergone the transformation with more to follow within the current year. Apart from the buses, MTT is currently working on the Light Rail system in Bahrain to improve public transportation.
