Manama: The Labour and Social Development Ministry has allocated a toll-free hotline (32265727) to receive reports of any violations of Edict 3/2013 on banning outdoor work between 12:00 pm and 04:00 during the months of July and August. The Labour Minstry expressed thanks to the citizens and residents for their constant cooperation in this regard. Edict 3/2013  aims to safeguard workers’ health, ensure their safety against heat exhaustion and sunstroke as well as prevent summer-related diseases and to reduce occupational incidents in view of the increasing temperatures.

Manama: The UNESCO World Heritage Committee has inscribed Bahrain’s Dilmun Burial Mounds on the World Heritage List. The decision was made during the 43rd session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, currently held in the capital of Azerbaijan.Dilmun Burial Mounds is the third to be designated as world heritage site in Bahrain after Ancient Qal’at al-Bahrain Harbor City and Capital of Dilmun (2005) and the Offshore Pearling Sites in Muharraq (2012).
