Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) Chief Executive Officer, National Committee Chairman for Combating Human Trafficking Jamal Abdulaziz Al Alawi met United Nations Office Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Chief of Human Trafficking and Migrants Smuggling Section (HTMSS) oIlias Chatzis. The meeting discussed the Prospects of Promoting Bahrain’s Efforts in Combating Forced Labor and Labor Exploitation. Al Alawi stressed the Kingdom’s commitment to promote partnerships, strategic collaborations  preventing human trafficking, forced labour, and labour exploitation in particular. He highlighted Bahrain’s significant role in sharing its expertise and the successful initiatives at the regional level.

Advisor to His Majesty the King for Diplomatic Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammad Al Khalifa received Israeli Ambassador Eitan Na’eh. The meeting reviewed the latest regional and international developments. The advisor praised the progress in Bahraini-Israeli relations at all levels. Works Ministry said that the maintenance works of Shaikh Abdullah Avenue at Manama necessitate full closure of the avenue between Shaikh Isa Avenue and Isa Al Kabeer Avenue and the traffic will be diverted to surrounded roads. The closure will be effective on Monday for a period of 3 weeks.

Japan’s Prime Minister, Fumio Kishida, on Saturday said his country will invest $42 billion in India over the next five years in a deal that is expected to boost bilateral trade.
