Manama: In line with what has been previously announced on 31 January 2022, and following approval by the Government Executive Committee, the National Medical Taskforce for Combatting the Coronavirus (COVID-19) today announced the adoption of the Green Alert Level starting from 15 February 2022. The National Medical Taskforce noted that the decision was taken following a review of the daily average number of cases in intensive care. DUBAI: Hotel and casino operator Wynn Resorts will build a luxury resort in Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates with a “gaming area”, it said on Tuesday, potentially paving the way for gambling to be allowed in the Muslim Gulf state. Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today issued Edict (3) of 2022. According to the edict, Ezz Ahmed Ali Al-Mannai was appointed as Director of the Directorate of Policies and Strategic Planning, and Adnan Said Mohammed Al-Makhraq as Director of the Directorate of Control and Licensing, both at the Ministry of Oil. The Minister of Oil shall implement the provisions of this edict, which takes immediate effect, and will be published in the Official Gazette.
MUMBAI: India reported 271,202 new cases of the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours, its highest daily count in eight months, taking its total tally to 37.12 million, the federal health ministry said on Sunday. Deaths from COVID-19 rose by 314 to 486,066, Reuters quoted the ministry as saying.
LONDON: More than 323 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 5,878,745 have died, according to a Reuters tally on Sunday. Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in December 2019.
