Lucknow : The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UPSTF) has arrested the mastermind of a gang involved in cheating hundreds of people on the pretext of providing them jobs in the state secretariat, according to an official statement issued on Sunday. The STF said the mastermind, Dilip Rai Balwani, was arrested on Saturday night in the Vibhuti Khand police station area. As many as 11 fake appointment letters related to the secretariat, six stamps, five mobile phones and a car were recovered from him. India : The Punjab Police today recovered an explosive device packed with around 1.5 kg of RDX. Police arrested two men in a village in Tarn Taran district. The IED, packed in metal box weighing over 2.5 kg, was also equipped with timer, detonator, battery and shrapnel. Arrested has been identified as Baljinder Singh, a resident of village Gujjarpura in Ajnala, Amritsar, and Jagtar Singh, 40, of village Khanowal of Ajnala, Amritsar. Beijing : Beijing on Wednesday closed around 10% of the stations in its vast subway system as an additional measure against the spread of coronavirus.
