New Delhi :  A court in India on Friday sentenced to death 38 people for a series of bomb blasts in 2008 that left more than 50 dead and 200 wounded in the city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat state. Bahrain :   Following an approval by the Government Executive Committee, the National Medical Taskforce for Combatting the Coronavirus (COVID-19) announced that the protocols for contacts of active cases have been updated, and will go into effect starting from Sunday, 20 February 2022. According to the updated protocols, contacts of active cases will no longer have to undergo a precautionary period of isolation, this includes individuals who do not have the green shield on the BeAware Bahrain application. Bahrain : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today issued Royal Decree (10) of 2022, appointing Dr. Tariq Mohammed Abdulrahmam Al-Sindi as Chief Executive Officer of the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA) for a four-year term. The Prime Minister shall implement the provisions of this decree, which takes immediate effect, and will be published in the Official Gazette.

Bahrain : Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa inspected one of the BDF units.
