Bahrain : Chief Executive Officer of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), Jamal Abdulaziz Al-Alawi, has asserted that LMRA is working on the phased implementation of the Wage Protection System, which plays a key role in preserving the rights of employers and workers. Al-Alawi affirmed that the first stage was launched last May, and included employers with 500 workers and more, while the second phase was launched on the first of September for employers with 50 to 499 workers. At least 13 civilians were shot dead by Indian soldiers during an ambush carried out in error and subsequent protests over the incident in a remote north-eastern state. The UAE’s rail project will expand to include passenger train services running across the country, the UAE’s leaders said on Sunday in a major announcement. Etihad Rail’s network will grow from running heavy goods services to carry millions of passengers between its major cities by 2030, the government said. Bahrain : A total of 680 Bahrain job seekers holding various qualifications had been employed in 452 private companies and institutions from November 28 to December 4, the Labor and Social Development Ministry has revealed, adding that 434 had benefited from various training programs during the same period.
