Manama: King Hamad University Hospital (KHUH) has launched  a new application to improve services delivered to patients and citizens. “The smart application facilitates administrative and medical procedures and enforces social distancing to protect people’s health and safety”, said KHUH Commander Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Salman bin Ateyatalla Al Khalifa. The application can be downloaded free of charge from KHUH or King Hamad University Hospital by inserting  Apple store/ google play and screening the QR Code. Bahrain : Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi said that Bahrain has been able to reduce the illiteracy rate to less than 2.4%, according to the annual Education for All (EFA) report issued by UNESCO. Marking the International Literacy Day, the minister attributed the great achievement to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the Education Ministry which resulted in presenting Bahrain positively in the UNESCO’s six goals of the EFA report, including the minimizing illiteracy goal.

Bahrain : The GCC Justice Ministries Undersecretaries have today held their 23rd meeting remotely via video conference. Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry Undersecretary Judge Isa Sami Al Mannai chaired the virtual session. London: Britain plans to further extend post-Brexit grace periods on some goods imports to Northern Ireland, Brexit minister David Frost said on Monday, in a move designed to give London and Brussels more time for talks about trade with the province.
