India: Minister of State (MoS) for External Affairs, V Muraleedharan will embark upon a three-day visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain from August 30 to September 1, 2021. This will be his first visit to the country. During the visit, the MoS will hold discussions with Bahraini Ministers and dignitaries. He will also meet a wide cross-section of the Indian communities in Bahrain, including those in health, education, business and social service, read the Ministry of External Affairs press release. Dubai : Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has installed 15 electric vehicle (EV) Green Charger stations at Expo 2020 Dubai’s pavilions: Opportunity; Sustainability and Mobility. The Green Chargers will serve the electric vehicles visitors to the Expo. DEWA has installed five Green Chargers at each pavilion, enough to charge 30 electric vehicles simultaneously, in addition to two stations currently being built at the Expo office, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported. Abu Dhabi : The Federal Authority For Identity and Citizenship (ICA) and the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) have jointly announced that, starting from 30th August, application for tourist visas will be open to people from all countries, provided that they are fully vaccinated with one of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines. Tokyo : Taro Kono, the Japanese minister in charge of the vaccine rollout, promised Sunday a timely administering of booster shots for the coronavirus, as the nation aims to fully vaccinate its population by October or November. Bahrain : Electricity and Water Affairs Minister, Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, today received the newly-appointed Bahraini Ambassador to France, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa. India : India is seeing another surge in the Covid-19 pandemic driven largely by fresh cases in the southern state of Kerala, Health Ministry data released Saturday showed. Germany: More than 60 percent of people in Germany have now been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus, said dpa international. Some 50 million people (60.1 per cent of the population) have now received their second injection, the Health Ministry announced on Saturday.
