Abu Dhabi : UAE President His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered an aid package totaling $100 million for earthquake relief in Syria and Türkiye. The aid will be divided equally between Syria and Türkiye, which both suffered mass casualties and large-scale damage to buildings and infrastructure in yesterday’s magnitude 7.8 quake and aftershocks.

Manama : The Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) calls on all irregular workers in Bahrain and Flexi permit holders to take immediate actions to correct their legal status prior to March 4. The authority affirmed that the necessary legal actions will be taken in coordination with the relevant government entities against all violators of LMRA laws and regulations in addition to intensified inspection campaigns and deportation operations conducted across all the governorates. Manama : The Customs Affairs and the Customs Clearance Agents Society have signed a service agreement to promote cooperation between them. The signing ceremony was attended by Customs President Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the society president Yasser Al Ameen. Australia : A 16-year-old girl died on Saturday after being mauled by a shark in a river in Western Australia’s state capital Perth after she jumped into the water to swim with a pod of dolphins. Police said they were called to the scene of the attack near a traffic bridge on the Swan River, in the Fremantle port area of Perth, at about 3.45pm. Manama : The Quick Response (QR) Code will soon replace the information leaflet available inside the medicine boxes, said The National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA). Clinicians or patients can scan the datamatrix code on the medicines packaging and access the electronic Product Information, it said in a statement today. The eLeaflet, which will be introduced gradually this year, will facilitate access to updated medical information and ensure coordination with competent authorities in the GCC members authorities.
