Istanbul : Türkiye’s national flag carrier Turkish Airlines (THY) canceled as many as 170 flights scheduled for Monday due to the expected adverse snowy weather conditions in Istanbul. The cancellations come in accordance with the restriction decision taken by the Meteorological Emergency Committee (MADKOM), Yahya Ustun, Turkish Airlines’ senior vice president for media relations, said on Twitter. A total of 152 flights to or from Istanbul Airport, and 18 flights to or from Sabiha Gokcen Airport were canceled, he added, Schools in Istanbul and capital Ankara will also remain closed on Monday due to the extreme weather conditions.
Manama : Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro received members of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation . The meeting discussed several topics and exchanged views on the latest economic developments. The minister praised the meetings held between concerned authorities in Bahrain and the IMF with the aim of discussing and reviewing economic developments in the Kingdom. Fakhro stressed that Bahrain is moving at a steady pace towards achieving its development goals, noting the role played by promising sectors in driving growth, especially those supervised by the ministry.

Manama : Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has announced additional frequencies to and from the Republic of Italy effective 06 March 2023. The airline’s flights to Milan will become daily with this latest frequency increase, while Rome frequency will increase to 03 weekly flights, in response to the growing demand on its Italian destinations. MYRTLE BEACH : The downing of a suspected Chinese spy balloon just off South Carolina’s coast created a spectacle over one of the state’s tourism hubs and drew crowds reacting with a mixture of bewildered gazing, distress and cheering.
