Manama: Capital Governor Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa received Egyptian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Yasser Mohammed Shaban. They discussed ways of activating the friendship and cooperation agreement between the Capital Governorate and Cairo. The Capital Governor underscored solid fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Egypt and the importance of exchanging visits in further strengthening them. He also lauded the efforts of the Egyptian ambassador in further cementing strategic relations between the two brotherly countries.
Manama: National Guard President General His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa received Pakistani Army Director General of Training & Evaluation Inspector General Muhammad Chiragh Haider. National Guard President stressed the developed bilateral relations that resulted in increasing the exchange of expertise and the implementation of joint exercises to boost capabilities of the two armies. The inspector general expressed his appreciation to the National Guard President for his keenness and interest in developing cooperation and strengthening bilateral relations. Manama: Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, today attended the final events of the joint maritime exercise “Vigilant Guard11” of the Coast Guard . The conclusion activities were also attended by the Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan. The Interior Minister was briefed on the preparations and implementation of the drill within realistic scenarios and security procedures. He hailed the competency of officers, other ranks and participating authorities. He also applauded their capabilities and outstanding performance in protecting maritime security and safety. Manama): Aluminum Bahrain (Alba) has set a new historic production record of 1,600,111 metric tonnes (MT) in 2022, an increase of 38,889 MT over the 1,561,222 MT in 2021 (+2.5% Year-on-Year). “This all-time production record translates our motto ‘opportunities don’t happen, we create them by doing the best we can with what we have’. We also look forward to set new highs in the future driven by our in-house production creep,” Alba CEO Ali Al Baqali said. A special ceremony was held at Alba’s Product Yard to mark the achievement.
