Manama : The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today issued Decree (83) of 2022, appointing officials at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, based on the proposal of the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and following the approval of the Cabinet. Manama : Customs Affairs registered 830 trafficking operations of narcotics, pills and substances through customs ports in 2022, up by  48% compared with last year. A total of 560 trafficking cases were registered in 2021. Customs Affairs stated that the seizures included about 478  kilograms of various narcotic substances and about 241000 narcotic pills.

Saudi Arabia : Umrah pilgrims to Makkah were greeted by thunderstorms and flooding on Friday as Jeddah braced for heavy rain. While fully equipped emergency response teams were on stand-by for any incident, residents were warned not to leave their homes unless necessary. Paris : A shooting targeting a Kurdish cultural center in a bustling Paris neighborhood Friday left three people dead and three others wounded, authorities said. A 69-year-old suspect was wounded and arrested.
