122 Indian citizens were given Air India flight tickets to travel back to Kochi from Bahrain on May 8, Friday as part of the repatriation programme. A total of 177 passengers can travel through this flight. Others selected by the Indian Embassy in Bahrain can receive their flight tickets from tomorrow (May 7) at 10 AM. There is a special Air India counter in the Embassy for receiving the tickets. 84 BHD is the price of each ticket. The flight will fly from Bahrain on Friday, May 8 at 4:30 in the evening. The 3 rows of rear seats of the flight is cleared, if any emergency treatment is required.
Bahrain has 2,066 active cases, of which 2,062 of them are stable and 4 others in mild condition with 8 fatalities. The kingdom has so far reported 1860 recoveries.
“Above 8,000 people have registered on the Indian Embassy’s online platform.” Mr. Norbu Negi, Chargé d’Affaires of the Indian Embassy told to the Starvision News on Tuesday.
The second repatriation flight from Bahrain will reach Kozhikode on May 11.
Only persons shortlisted by embassies on the priority lists are allowed to travel from the Gulf. Pregnant women, Senior citizens with acute health problems, children, and persons with expired visiting visas are given preference.
