The General Directorate of Anti-corruption and Economic and Electronic Security warned today of scam emails claiming that the sender is Apple company and asking to verify the ID of the receiver.
The email claims someone is trying to access the receiver’s account, which pushed and the company to suspend the account. The email asked to fill a form with personal information, including the credit card details to verify the account.
The department urges the public to check the emails they are receiving before responding to any email, highlighting that Apple company won’t send such emails and requests for such details.
The emails by the company start with the full name of the account user and not “Dear client or Dear customer”.
It doesn’t also send an attachment to be resent by the receiver or ask for credit card details.
