Bahrain : The Kingdom of Bahrain has announced its bid to the 2023 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
Bahrain Football Association (BFA) has officially put in a bid with the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) in Zurich, Switzerland.
Columbia, the United Arab Emirates, Seychelles and Thailand are also bidding to host the 2023 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, which will be the 12th edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
BFA Chairman Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa said that the bid is in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to turn Bahrain into a destination from mega events, including sports championships.
He also hailed the visions of HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, as well HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Head of the General Sports Authority and Bahrain Olympic Committee President.
BFA Chairman said that Bahrain would submit a complete dossier to support its bid to host the 12th edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, adding that the international governing body has set January 30 as the deadline.
