    Bahrain: Boarding started for stranded Indian citizens in BIA

    Boarding has started in Bahrain International Airport for the first repatriation flight IX474 from Bahrain to Kochi, as a part of the Vande Bharat Mission evacuation programmme.

    The flight IX474 was scheduled to fly from Bahrain to Kochi today at 4:30 in the evening.

    All the tickets were given to the passengers by Thursday.

    More than 13,000 Indian residents in Bahrain have registered on the Indian Embassy’s online platform to return to their homeland amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

    “Over 13,000 people have registered on the Indian Embassy’s online platform.” Mr. Norbu Negi, Chargé d’Affaires of the Indian Embassy told to the Starvision News on Thursday.

    A total of 177 passengers can travel through this flight.
