Bahrain has reported 469 cases of coronavirus, among 295 expatriate workers, 171 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 3 are travel-related, after conducting over 8,600 additional COVID-19 tests on Thursday.
The death toll stands at 55, as 6 new deaths were reported in the kingdom.
Meanwhile, 511 additional recoveries from COVID-19 were reported.
The total cases have driven to 20,430 of which 14,696 have recovered, which means that over 70 percent of the confirmed cases have recovered from the virus. Currently, there are 5,679 active cases.
Also, there are 173 COVID-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 29 are in a critical condition.
So far the country has conducted 454,368 tests, according to the government statics.
“The cases in Bahrain have seen a rise due to non-compliance of rules,” said Lt. Col. Dr.Ahmed Al Ansari.
