London : The Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the United Kingdom held a reception ceremony marking the International Day for Tolerance, under the patronage of Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom, H.E. Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa. It was attended by a number of MPs, academics, media professionals and those interested in the field of religious and sectarian pluralism in the United Kingdom.
The embassy shed light on the Kingdom of Bahrain’s pioneering experience in fostering tolerance and coexistence. It presented a short film that included interviews with prominent religious personalities in the Kingdom.
The celebration mirrored the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in promoting the culture of coexistence between civilizations and religions, building on the Declaration of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the establishment of the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence, the constitution and other legislations that protect cultural diversity.
