Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, H.E Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, met today with the Minister of State for External Affairs of India, H.E V. Muraleedharan, as part of his official visit to Bahrain.
The Foreign Minister welcomed Mr. V. Muralidharan, praising strong historical friendly relations between Bahrain and India, and growing cooperation between them at all levels.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs reviewed the outcomes of the ministerial meeting of the joint higher committee between Bahrain and India, which was held in New Delhi last April. He stressed the Kingdom’s keenness to continue high-level periodic consultations between the two friendly countries.
For his part, Mr. V. Muralidharan expressed his pleasure at visiting Bahrain, lauding the advanced level of bilateral relations which are based on mutual respect. He stressed his country’s keenness on bolstering them in various fields, wishing Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
The meeting was also attended by the Undersecretary for Political Affairs, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Consular and Administrative Affairs, H.E. Ambassador Tawfeeq Ahmed Al-Mansoor, Chief of Afro-Asian Affairs, H.E. Ambassador Fatima Abdulla Al-Dhaen, Chief of Consular Services, H.E. Mr. Ebrahim Mohammed Al Meselmani, Indian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, H.E. Mr. Piyush Srivastava, and the visiting minister’s accompanying delegation.
