Speaker of the Council of Representatives Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal said that Bahrain, thanks to the wise vision and sound directives from HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, has harnessed the innovations of the modern era and the finest digital systems to accelerate the pace of progress in a way that promotes comprehensive development.

She stressed that the parliament in Bahrain is undergoing wide transformations within the transition to a digital parliament and the use of technology in all areas of administrative and legislative parliamentary work.

The two sides discussed efforts related to confronting terrorism, extremism and violence, as a global priority, in view of the dangerous threats and consequences that cast a shadow on the security and stability of societies and peoples.

They also reviewed the necessity of intensifying efforts, enhancing capabilities, and using modern techniques to curb terrorist practices that have left ominous effects on humanity and its future.

The Congressmen affirmed that Bahrain is a strategic U.S. ally with extended and deep-rooted relations.

They noted that the presence of the Fifth Fleet in Bahrain reflects the extent of the cooperation and the depth of the partnership between Bahrain and the U.S., and their joint role in securing navigation in the region within the alliances aimed at achieving stability and security in the Middle East and the world.
