    Bahrain News Agency attends 4th Global Media Summit

    Bahrain :  Bahrain News Agency  director-general Abdulla Khalil Buhejji took part in the 4th Global Media Summit, which was held in China.

    The Chinese News Agency (Xinhua) hosted the summit under the theme “Media Growth Strategy in light of COVID-19”. It was attended by around 400 participants representing more than 260 media institutions from up to 100 countries.

    Buhejji underscored the importance of the global forum, which was held as the pandemic continues to take its toll on different sectors, including the media, noting international efforts to achieve recovery.

    He highlighted the summit agenda which highlighted the role of coordination, communication and exchanging expertise and practices, which contribute to sharing news and issues that concern media institutions and platforms.

    He said that the summit raised key topics, including media development, digital solutions, media marketing, media response in emergencies and public health.

    The summit also focused on the role of the media in building bridges between civilizations and furthering global development, highlighting urgent issues such as those dealing with sustainable development, climate, environmental changes.

    BNA director-general praised the efforts of Xinhua News Agency in  in organizing the international media forum and providing all possibilities for its success.
