Bahrain Odia Samaj and ISKCON celebrated Rathyatra in Shrinathji Temple, Manama, with great pomp and show under the leadership of Dr Arun Kumar Praharaj marking the occasion under the banner of Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and India@75.
The program was graced by Representative Indian Ambassador, Second Secretary Mr Ravi Jain and Ambassador of Nepal Mrs Aruna Ghising.
In view of 50 years of India Bahrain Diplomatic relationship this year, Shaikh Salah Al Jowder and Journalist Ms Afaq of King Hamad Global centre for peaceful coexistence were invited to this grand occasion. Shaikh Al Jowder delightfully pulled the sacred Chariot of Lord Jagannatha the Trinity and said God is one but the ways to reach the supreme lord are different. Bahrain is a land of peace and harmony where all religions are respected and we encourage peaceful coexistence of all.
In Shrinathji temple more than 6000 devotees attended this divine celebration of Mahaprabhu and his siblings. Mahaprashad was served to all and cultural programs and Sankirtan was done by the members.
In the evening Lords we’re shifted to Sagaiya Iskcon temple to place them on where all rituals and cultural programs will be performed for 9 days.
Dr Praharaj praised the host country Bahrain and the rulers of Kingdom of Bahrain for the love, peace, harmony and peaceful coexistence of people from diverse faith and religions. He further said we feel Bahrain is a home away from home where we can enjoy all our cultural freedom peacefully.
