More than 13,000 Indian residents in Bahrain have registered on the Indian Embassy’s online platform to return to their homeland amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
“Over 13,000 people have registered on the Indian Embassy’s online platform.” Mr. Norbu Negi, Chargé d’Affaires of the Indian Embassy told to the Starvision News on Thursday.
The first repatriation flight from Bahrain to Kochi will fly tomorrow (May 8) at 4:30 in the evening, and the second flight from Bahrain will reach Kozhikode on May 11.
All the tickets were given to the passengers by Thursday.
A total of 177 passengers can travel through this flight. Indian citizens selected by the Indian Embassy in Bahrain have received their flight tickets from Thursday at 10 AM. 84 BHD is the price of each ticket.
The 3 rows of rear seats of the flight is cleared, if any emergency treatment is required.
Only persons shortlisted by embassies on the priority lists are allowed to travel from the Gulf. Pregnant women, Senior citizens with acute health problems, children, and persons with expired visiting visas are given preference.
