Amman : Bahrain qualified to the semifinals of the Arab Table Tennis Championship, currently held in Amman, Jordan.
The national team which includes Mohammed Abbas, Rashid Sanad, Elyas Al Yasi and Mortadha Hussein beat Palestine and Kuwait in three straight sets (3/0) to book a berth in the semi-finals.
The U-15 Bahrain national table tennis team also booked a spot in the semi-finals of the pan-Arab championship after beating hosts, Jordan, (3/0).
Both teams include Mohammed Abbas, Rashid Sanad, Elyas Al Yasi, Mortadha Hussein, Salman Mohammed Ali, Fadhel Abbas Ali, Hussein Hassan Majeed, Ali Abbas Abdulwahab, Jassim Abdulla Ali, Majeed Naji Ahmed, Mohammed Nader Mohammed, Mariam Abdulla Al’ali, Fatima Abdulla Al A’ali and Amrita Bahdaki.
