    Bahrain Red Crescent launches drive to assist victims of Beirut explosion

    The Bahrain Red Crescent Society has launched the “Bahrain assists Beirut” campaign to support the Lebanese in their ordeal following the devastating explosion in Beirut that resulted in catastrophic damage to the population, the economy and the environment.

    The campaign aims to collect donations and provide relief, medical, health and psychological support for the Lebanese people.

    The society appealed to all citizens, residents and institutions in Bahrain to take the initiative to participate in the civil campaign with their contributions to the Bahrain Red Crescent Society that will deliver the donations to the needy and afflicted in Lebanon.

    The society expressed its optimism that the campaign will generate great interaction in Bahrain thanks to the high humanitarian sense of responsibility, love of benevolence and compassion that the citizens, residents and institutions in the Kingdom have with the Lebanese people as they deal with a devastating tragedy that requires urgent support.

    The society stressed that it would harness all its organizational capabilities and experiences that extend over more than 50 years in the field of relief and humanitarian work and its broad and solid regional and international relations to ensure the delivery of donations to the beneficiaries in Lebanon.
