    Bahrain reports 540 new COVID-19 cases

    Bahrain has reported 540 cases of coronavirus, among 349 expatriate workers, 187 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 4 are travel-related, after conducting over 5,500 additional COVID-19 tests on Tuesday.

    The death toll stands at 47, as no new death was reported in the kingdom.

    Meanwhile, 599 additional recoveries from COVID-19 were reported.

    The total cases have driven to 19,553 of which 13,866 have recovered, which means that over 70 percent of the confirmed cases have recovered from the virus. Currently, there are 5,640 active cases.

    Also, there are 133 COVID-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 27 are in a critical condition.

    So far the country has conducted 438,080 tests, which is among the highest when looking at the country’s population.

    Expatriates are having the highest RO (R-Naught) in the country.
