    Bahrain reports over 23,000 mask violations

    Bahrain has announced the registration of 23,094 mask violations of not wearing face masks at public places and shops since the enforcement of the order.

    The Northern Governorate Police Directorate reported 1,538 violations related to the rule of social distancing and 5,057 violations of not wearing masks at public place. It carried 521 awareness campaigns.

    The Capital Governorate Police Directorate took 367 steps to protect social distancing in the district, along with reporting 3,793 mask-related violations and distributed 4,200 meals among expatriate workers. It also held 601 awareness campaigns.

    Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate registered 1,115 social distancing violations and 5,829 mask-related violations. The department also organised 1,015 awareness campaigns.

    The Southern Governorate reported 2,296 social distancing violations and 3,133 mask-related violations. The department also held 371 awareness campaigns and disinfection operations.

    The Operations Directorate of the Public Security Presidency received 5,185 mask-related violations. It also took 337 steps to protect social distancing.

    The General Directorate of Ports Security reported 97 mask-related violations and carried operations to facilitate the evacuation of 75,820 travelers from Bahrain.
