“Bahrain had witnessed a spike in active COVID-19 cases in recent days and many of the cases were due to gatherings and negligence of the precautionary measures,” said Dr. Waleed Al Manea, Undersecretary of the MOH in a press conference held by the National team to combat COVID-19.
He called upon everyone to avoid gatherings for 2 weeks and to follow the health measures.

The kingdom’s education and health ministries have launched a massive campaign to conduct COVID-19 tests for all public school administrators, teachers and technicians following the reopening of schools.
Public school staff were scheduled to resume their duties on September 6, but the date has been postponed to September 20 to allow for COVID-19 tests following the spike in the number of cases in the country.
The percentage of the daily COVID-19 tests conducted in Bahrain has ranked among the highest globally in terms of the population.
