Manama : The Kingdom of Bahrain has shown the world its edge in hosting the security summit (Manama Dialogue), said US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Dana Stroul.
sed the importance of the annual platform which is attended by an elite of of decision-makers, thinkers and representatives of research centers and think tanks in the world.
She expressed her happiness at participating in the summit, which provides a platform to discuss opportunities and challenges in the region, pointing out Bahrain’s pioneering role in organizing conferences that have a significant impact on the international community.
“The Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America have had a strategic relationship for decades”, she said, noting that Bahrain hosts the Fifth Fleet of the US base and the US Naval Central Command, which are the most important bases in the entire Middle East.
In a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), she stressed keenness on further deepening bilateral relations, noting that Bahrain has shown the world what joint cooperation between different countries can achieve
She highlighted particularly the courageous decisions made by countries to sign the Abrahamic Accords, noting that the process would be completed this year at in the Negev Forum.
She praised Bahrain’s support provided both for the Fifth Fleet and for the Joint Alliance, which contributes to facilitating the work of the naval forces with the leaders in the region.
In the statement, she underlined her country’s continued commitment to the region, noting that the United States of America has carried out many tasks with partners in the region, including the war against ISIS, in addition to stationing many of its forces in the region.
