Antalya : The Executive Council of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) has re-elected the member of the Council of Representatives, MP Ahmed Sabah Al-Salloum, as APA Vice-President for the fourth straight session.
During the 13th APA Plenary session, held in Turkish city of Antalya on January 8-10, MP Al-Salloum was also re-elected as Chairman of the Standing Committee for Economic Affairs.
MP Al-Salloum, who is among the Bahraini parliamentary delegation to the 13th APA Plenary session, stated that his re-election to the two posts adds to the landmark achievements of the kingdom’s legislative branch, which, he said, reflects the unwavering care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the constant follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, enabling the legislature and lawmakers to contribute effectively to the comprehensive development process.
