She pointed the importance of investing in such national occasions to build on achievements, in line with the aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and SCW President.

Al Ansari hailed the university’s results and achievements, expressing confidence that graduates would be able to participate actively in national development and rank among Bahrain’s future leaders.

Addressing the discussion session she said that the indicators related to Bahraini women’s participation in higher education augur well for the the Kingdom’s progress and prosperity.

She highlighted Bahraini women’s strides ever since girls’ formal education was first adopted officially in the Kingdom in 1928, which represent a quantum leap forward to improve women’s statues over the past decades.

She shed light on the role of the council since its establishment twenty years ago, which contribute to empowering women and engaging them in different development avenues.

Professor Mouzughi thanked the SCW Secretary-General for taking part in the RUW forum which gave students an overview about Bahraini women’s strides.

She said that the Kingdom of Bahrain was the first Arabian Gulf country to adopt girls’ formal education, more than nine decades ago, which paved the way for today’s generations of Bahraini females students enrolled in higher education establishments.
