Manama : Bahrain will join the world in celebrating the World Children’s Day which is observed on November 20. This year’s celebration will be held under the theme “Inclusion, for Every Child”. The aim is to promote international cooperation and raise awareness of the children’s rights, protect them and boost their welfare, in accordance with the UN Declaration of the Rights of the Child.

The international observance is considered as an opportunity to shed light on Bahrain’s initiatives in this respect and enhance international interconnectedness between children all over the world. It also aims to boost awareness and affirm the need to continue protecting the rights of the children and supporting families to enable them to assume their educational and upbringing role.

Marking the occasion, Minister of Social Development, Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, asserted Bahrain’s leading status in its strategic vision concerning the child field. He pointed out the kingdom’s advanced legislation in this respect, under the comprehensive development march led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He stressed Bahrain’s keenness on catering to the children’s needs and providing them with a healthy and secure environment.
