    Bivalent Covid-19 vaccines para sa priority groups, inilunsad na

    Pormal nang inilunsad ng Department of Health (DOH) nitong Miyerkules ang bivalent Covid-19 vaccine para sa mga priority groups, alinsunod na rin sa direktiba mismo ni Pang. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr..

    Sa pamumuno nina Pangulong Marcos at DOH Secretary Ted Herbosa, isinagawa ang kick-off ceremony sa Philippine Heart Center (PHC), Quezon City, sa pamamagitan ng ceremonial vaccination para sa mga healthcare workers na kabilang sa A1 category at senior citizens na nasa A2 category naman.

    “We are always grateful for the strong support of no less than the President. He continues to care for our people’s welfare through the national Covid-19 vaccination program. Under his direction, we are saving lives!,” ani Herbosa.

    Aniya pa, “Isa ang bakuna sa mga paraan para umiwas sa sakit at maging handa sa anumang pandemya.”

    Hinikayat rin naman niya ang publiko na magpabakuna laban sa Covid-19 upang makaiwas na dapuan ng naturang karamdaman.

    “With that, the DOH urges everyone, starting with our frontliners – health workers and the most vulnerable – our senior citizens, to strengthen their immunity against Covid-19 by getting these bivalent boosters by coordinating with our nearest hospitals and vaccination centers. Tayo na sa isang Healthy Pilipinas, kung saan ang bawat buhay ay mahalaga,” pahayag pa ng kalihim.

    Noong Marso 31, 2023, naglabas ang DOH ng Department Memorandum (DM) hinggil sa management at administration ng mga idinonate na bivalent vaccines.

    Nakasaad sa naturang mga guidelines na ang unang babakunahan nito ay ang mga Healthcare workers at Senior citizens.

    Nakasaad rin sa naturang memorandum na ang isang indibidwal ay maaaring bakunahan ng bivalent vaccine, apat o anim na buwan matapos ang kanilang huling booster vaccination.
