Bahrain : “The First Vision Salman” book, published recently by the Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (DERASAT), provides an in-depth analysis of the personality and career of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who has assumed national responsibilities since his early childhood.
The publication of the episodes of the chapters of the book aims to enrich the national memory and provide an opportunity to the public to learn about the national approach of Bahraini statesmen so that they draw lessons from their experiences, and role in formulating the principles and values of national and development work in the Kingdom.
The book devoted a whole chapter, entitled “Economic Diplomacy”, to highlight the prominent role played by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, through his visits, in enhancing the kingdom’s foreign policy, contributing to strengthening Bahrain’s relations with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Arab, Islamic and countries, in addition to other leading decision-making capitals.
The chapter shed light on the long-standing solid relations between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, the kingdom’s strategic depth, and the steady progress of cooperation between the two brotherly countries across all economic cooperation fields.
The chapter also referred to the robust relations between Bahrain and The United Arab Emirates in all fields, noting that thanks to their success in building partnerships with major countries, Bahrain and the UAE have become the cornerstone of regional and global security, as well as a role model for tolerance and peaceful co-existence, in light of the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Highness President Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, of the UAE.
The chapter also talked about Bahrain’s strong relations with Jordan, which is one of the countries most visited by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, highlighted the peculiarity of relations between the two kingdoms and the steady progress of their trade relations.
The chapter also focused on the solid relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and both the United Kingdom and the United States of America, with whom Bahrain enjoys strategic ties across various fields.
The chapter also reviewed the Asian diplomacy of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, highlighting the steady growth of the kingdom’s relations with Singapore, Japan, South Korea and India thanks to HRH’s successful visits to them.
The chapter also indicated that HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister has been keen on strengthening the kingdom’s relations with European countries, contributing to advancing the kingdom’s cooperation with them in the political, economic, industrial, defence and security fields.
