After a two-year long hiatus and crowdless events at BRAVE CF headquarters, BRAVE International Combat Week has returned to the Kingdom of Bahrain with a bang as the opening ceremony took fans by surprise at Khalifa Sports City.
The ceremony was launched with the screening of a special film that included the successes achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain in Bahraini sports, thanks to the care and support it enjoys from the country’s King and the interest of His Highness the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister, and the distinguished efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa, all of which contributed to the achievement of many achievements to be added to the Kingdom’s sports record.
After that, the uniforms of the participating teams in the MMA SUPER CUP tournament, presented by GREEN HILL, were revealed. After that, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa announced the opening of the tournament, welcoming all the participating delegations, and wishing everyone success.
Then a short motivational movie was shown to the athletes participating in this event, and the ceremony concluded with a fireworks display.
On Wednesday at 9:00 am (GMT+3), the MMA SUPER CUP will start begin with the quarter-final matches, where Team Oceania Champions will meet with Team Ireland, Team Mexico will meet with the Team Arab Champions, Team Kazakhstan will meet with Team Balkan Champions, and Team Bahrain will meet with Team Tajikistan.
According to the tournament system, the competitions will be held in the single elimination system, where 4 teams from the first round qualify for the semi-final matches that will be held on Thursday, with the final match taking place on Saturday, March 12th after the 57th edition of the BRAVE CF will be held on Friday, March 11th.
BRAVE International Combat Week is taking place in the Kingdom of Bahrain from March 8 to 11 at Khalifa Sports City. It will include the inaugural MMA Super Cup, the largest amateur mixed martial arts tournament in the history of combat sports, and BRAVE CF 57 headlined by 3 World Championship title fights.
The event will be broadcasted worldwide on OKKO, DAZN, MBC / SHAHID.NET, Arena Sport, O2, FIGHTING.DE, LOOKSPORT+, BAHRAIN TV, and BRAVE CF TV.
