The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) announced that it will host the popular Broadway Musical ‘The Wizard of Oz’ for the first time in the Kingdom over the Eid Al Adha break. The highly anticipated event will be held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Center (BIECC) from August 13-17. The show is an adapted revision of the all-time classic released by MGM in 1939 and will include the beloved songs from the Oscar-winning movie score as well as favorite scenes from different characters.

The Wizard of Oz is one of the most exceptional offerings on BTEA’s events calendar this year and is expected to draw crowds from Bahrain and the neighboring GCC countries, as it is being hosted during the holiday season over both Eid Al Adha and the summer break. Hosting this event comes in line with the BTEA’s long term strategy to position the Kingdom as a prominent destination for family tourism through attracting international events, providing all members of the family with a unique and unforgettable experience.

For more information or to purchase tickets, kindly visit www.woz.bh or the ticket booth at The Avenues. Tickets categories range from Bronze for 10BD, Silver for 20BD and gold for 30BD, whereas VIP tickets are 50BD. Hosting the event comes in line with the BTEA’s long term strategy to further develop the Kingdom’s tourism sector and strengthen its position on a regional and international level under the slogan of ‘Ours.Yours.’, which contributes towards the Kingdom’s economy and the 2030 Economic Vision.
