    Matagumpay na natanggal ng Philippine Coast Guard ang mga lumulutang na “barriers” sa Bajo de Masinloc (Scarborough Shoal), bagay na inilagay ng mga banyaga kahit nasa loob ito ng West Philippine Sea.

    Lunes lang nang almahan ni National Security Adviser Eduardo Año ang 300-metrong harang na inilagay ng Tsina lalo na’t paglabag ito sa karapatan ng mga Pilipinong mangisda sa naturang lugar.

    “The decisive action of the PCG to remove the barrier aligns with international law and the Philippines’ sovereignty over the shoal,” paliwanag ni PCG Spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea (WPS), CG Commodore Jay Tarriela ngayong Martes.

    “[A]ny obstruction hindering the livelihoods of Filipino fisherfolk in the shoal violates the international law. It also infringes on the Philippines’ sovereignty over BDM.”
