Manama : A total of 733 students, representing the 2017-2021 batches have graduated during a ceremony hosted by the College of Arts.

The event was part of the University of Bahrain (UoB) 24th graduation ceremony, which was held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The overall number of students who graduated from the College of Arts this year topped 2209, 733 of whom studied Arabic Literature and media.

Dean of College of Arts Dr. Abdulaziz Boulila addressed the graduation ceremony, which was held at the UoB Campus in Sakhir.

He said that the College of Arts obtained last year the international accreditation certificate from the British Accreditation Agency (ASIC), achieving the highest rating, which is the “excellent college”, he said.

He attributed the achievement to the support of the university’ administration, faculty and academic and administrative staff at the College of Arts.

Dr. Boulila congratulated the graduates on their brilliant achievement, describing them as the budding leaders who will contribute to heralding a prosperous future.

He affirmed the college’s commitment to continue developing its academic programs, and updating undergraduate and postgraduate studies, to cope with the requirements of the changing labor market, and keep pace with global strides.

Dr. Boulila underscored the importance of local, regional and global academic partnerships, in achieving the goals and aspirations of the College of Arts.

The graduates then received their certificates from the UoB Vice President for IT Services, Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Osama Abdullah Al-Jowder, in the presence of their parents and relatives.
