The Ministry of Health has arranged for the return of citizens in batches via chartered aircrafts, and the first batch of citizens arrived yesterday.
The Ministry of Health reported on the status of the 165 citizens who arrived on board the flight. 77 cases tested positive, and 88 cases tested negative. The 77 cases were transferred to the isolation and treatment center, while the others were transferred to one of the precautionary quarantine centers.
The Ministry of Health confirmed that the evacuation process that took place for the repatriated citizens was in accordance with internationally approved medical protocol and procedures.
